Story of TVTC

Our Mission

Our clinic was founded through a shared commitment to the children, young people, adults and families we are privileged to support. When the support available through our previous practice could no longer continue, our priority was simple: to ensure that the people and families who had placed their trust in us continued to feel supported, cared for and never alone in their therapeutic journey.

As a team of experienced play therapists and psychotherapists, we came together with a shared vision—to create a practice that truly reflects our values. A place where compassion, creativity, collaboration and genuine human connection are at the heart of everything we do.

We believe therapy should feel safe, welcoming and respectful. Whether someone is taking their first steps into therapy or continuing an existing journey, our aim is to create a space where they feel seen, heard and accepted for who they are.

As a proudly neurodiversity-affirming practice, we recognise that every person experiences the world in their own unique way. We celebrate neurological differences as part of the rich diversity of humanity and adapt our therapeutic approaches to honour each person's strengths, identity and individual needs. Our goal is never to change who someone is, but to help them better understand themselves, build on their strengths and navigate life's challenges with confidence.

Together, we bring extensive experience in play therapy, psychotherapy and creative therapeutic approaches. By working collaboratively, we provide thoughtful, evidence-informed support for children, young people, adults and families, helping them build resilience, strengthen relationships and discover hope through meaningful therapeutic connections.

We are honoured to walk alongside every person who chooses to share their story with us and remain committed to providing compassionate, evidence-informed therapy in a place where healing, growth and belonging can flourish.

Our Vision

We envision a community where every child, young person, adult and family feels valued, understood and supported, regardless of their experiences, background or neurotype.

Our hope is to contribute to a future where seeking therapy is recognised as a positive step towards wellbeing, where people feel safe to ask for help and where no one feels they have to face life's challenges alone.

We are committed to creating a welcoming, inclusive environment where differences are respected, strengths are celebrated and every individual is empowered to be their authentic self. As a neurodiversity-affirming practice, we embrace the richness of different ways of thinking, learning and experiencing the world, believing that everyone deserves acceptance, understanding and the opportunity to thrive.

Beyond the therapy room, we aspire to work alongside families, schools and our wider community to promote understanding, strengthen relationships and nurture emotional wellbeing. By building meaningful partnerships, we aim to create lasting, positive change that extends far beyond individual therapy sessions.

Our vision is to be more than a therapy practice. We strive to be a trusted part of our community—a place where people feel welcomed, hope is restored and children, young people, adults and families can develop the confidence, resilience and self-understanding to lead fulfilling lives.
